Diamond Audio Stage 2 Installation Guide | 2014+ Street Glide
Please follow these installation tips when you're ready to install your new
Diamond Audio Stage 2 Bundle in your
2014+ Harley-Davidson® Street Glide.

Installation Video
Tools needed:
- Fender cover
- T20 torx bit
- T27 torx bit
- T40 torx bit
- 5/32 hex bit
- 2mm allen wrench
- Panel removal tool
Remove the outer fairing:
- Place a fender cover over the front fender. To protect the painted surface.
- Remove the four T27 torx bolts.
- There are two located on each side of the fairing.
- The shorter bolt is lower and long bolt is towards the top of the fairing.
- Remove the three T27 torx bolts from the top of the fairing.
- Leave the longer bolt in the middle attached slightly to support the fairing.
- Remove the windshield.
- Remove the center bolt and remove the out fairing.
- Disconnect the headlight connector and completely remove the outer fairing.
Step 2
Remove the Right (Brake Side) speaker pod:
- Remove the power connection from the bottom of the speaker pod.
- Disconnect the speaker wire connector.
- Remove the three 7/16 in bolts holding in the bottom inside of the pod.
- These are located near the forks.
- Using a T25 torx bit remove the two bolts attaching the speaker pod to the tray on top of the radio.
- Use a 3/16 allen to remove the three remaining bolts holding the speaker pod to the inner fairing.
Step 3
Remove the Left (Clutch Side) speaker pod:
- Disconnect the speaker wire connector.
- Remove the three 7/16 in bolts holding in the bottom inside of the pod.
- These are located near the forks.
- Using a T25 torx bit remove the two bolts attaching the speaker pod to the tray on top of the radio.
- Use a 3/16 allen to remove the three remaining bolts holding the speaker pod to the inner fairing.
Step 4
Installing your new Diamond Audio 6.5 inch Horn Speakers:
- Remove the four T25 screws securing each speaker.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the speaker prongs.
- You may need to gently wiggle them back and forth to release the spade connectors.
- Use the provided crossover, connect the 1/4 inch and 1/8th inch spade connector to the 1/4 inch and 1/8th inch prongs on the 6.5 inch speaker.
- Using the bare wire side of the crossover and the provided speaker wire pigtail, twist the red wires together and twist the black wires together.
- Insert the red wires into the red push terminal.
- Insert the black wires into the black push terminal.
- Connect the spade connector on the provided pigtail to the factory wiring from the speaker pod.
- Insert the speaker assembly into the speaker pod, being sure to line up the mounting holes.
- Secure the speaker into the pod with the provided black phillips head screws.
- We recommend starting all four by hand and than carefully tightening down with a screwdriver.
Step 5
Replace the speaker pods:
- Place the speaker pods back on the appropriate side of the fairing.
- Replace the three 7/16 in bolts holding in the bottom inside of the pod.
- Using a T25 torx bit replace the two bolts attaching the speaker pod to the tray on top of the radio.
- Use a 3/16 allen to replace the three remaining bolts holding the speaker pod to the inner fairing.
- Reconnect the power connection on the right (brake side) speaker pod.
Step 6
Installing the amplifier mounting plate:
- Remove the four T25 screws from the top plate located in the center of the top plate over the radio.
- Place the provided amplifier mounting plate over top of the top plate, being sure to line up the four holes.
- Secure with the four factory T25 screws that you just removed.
- We recommend starting all four by hand and than carefully tightening down with a screwdriver.
Step 7
Installing the MSTLINK harness on a factory head unit:
- Insert the male factory connection into the rear of the radio.
- Connect the female main connector to the factory main connector from the motorcycle.
- Connect the four pin molex connector with RCA's labeled Front Left & Front Right to the Front Input.
- Connect the four pin molex connector with RCA's labeled Rear Left & Rear Rights to the Rear Input.
- Connect the four pin molex connector with White & Grey wires to the Front Output.
- Connect the four pin molex connector with Purple & Green wires to the Rear Output.
- Connect the provided blue remote turn on wire.
- Connect the male bullet connector to the female bullet connector coming from the Diamond Audio head unit.
- Place the other end with the wire ferrule into the REM port on the amplifier and secure using a 2mm allen.
Installing the MSTLINK harness on an aftermarket head unit:
- Insert the male factory connection into the rear of the radio.
- Connect the female main connector to the factory main connector from the motorcycle.
- Use the provided 2 channel RCA's to connect the head unit to the input side of the amp.
- One end of the RCA's has a tag "To Source," connect this end to the RCA's on the back of the head unit.
- Red to Red
- Clear to White
- Connect the other end of the RCA's to the RCA to Molex adapter.
- Red to Red
- Clear to Clear
- Repeat the process for both the Front & Rear RCA
- Connect the four pin molex connector with White & Grey wires to the Front Output.
- Connect the four pin molex connector with Purple & Green wires to the Rear Output.
- Connect the provided blue remote turn on wire.
- Connect the male bullet connector to the female bullet connector coming from the Diamond Audio head unit.
- Place the other end with the wire ferrule into the REM port on the amplifier and secure using a 2mm allen.
Mounting the amplifier:
- The kit will come with a few mounting options:
- We will provided four velcro squares that can be used to mount the amplifier to the amplifier bracket.
- The kit will come with velcro sheets that can be used.
- You may choose to drill into the mounting plate and secure using screws.
Step 9
Running the power and ground wires (33:04):
- For this step you will need to remove the seats and gas tank to expose the wire chase.
- Remove your seat.
- Remove the T40 bolts that secure the ECU plate on top of the battery, disconnect the two connections on the ECU plate.
- Remove the two T40 bolts that secure the front of the gas tank, near the forks.
- Remove the two T40 bolts that secure the bottom of the gas tank by the battery.
- Remove the fuel line by sliding the collar up and than pulling straight down.
- We recommend having a towel handy as a small amount of fuel may drip when the collar is removed.
- Remove the vent lines and lift the gas tank up and off the motorcycle.
- Once the wire chase is exposed, remove the cover by lifting the tabs around the edges.
- Remove the 60 AMP fuse from the inline fuse of the provided power wire.
- Route the power and ground wires in the wire chase.
- The end with wire ferrel will connect to the amplifier.
- The end with ring terminals will connect to the battery.
- Route the wires through the fairing on the Left side (clutch side) and towards the amplifier.
- Place the wire ferrel on the red power wire into the 12V in port on the amplifier and secure the wire ferrel with a 2mm allen wrench.
- Place the wire ferrel on the black ground wire into the Ground port on the amplifier and secure the wire ferrel with a 2mm allen wrench.
- Clean up the wires on the wire chase, you can use a few zip ties to hold everything in place.
- Connect the power wire to the positive battery terminal.
- Connect the ground wire to the negative battery terminal.
- Insert the 60 AMP fuse back into the inline fuse holder.
- Secure any extra power and ground wire.
Step 10
Check the functionality of your Stage 2 bundle:
- Turn the ignition on so that the radio powers on.
- Find a song that will play for at least a few minutes.
- Turn up the volume on your head unit to about 75% of the MAX volume.
- Using a small flathead screwdriver adjust the Front Gain (Front Speakers) until your desired sound level is reached.
- You can make any other EQ settings changes with in the head unit.
Step 11
Reassembling the motorcycle:
- Manage any loose wires: under the seat, in the wire chase or inside the fairing.
- Replace the bolts that secure the ECU tray.
- Reconnect the 2 connectors on top of the ECU tray.
- Replace the chase cover.
- Replace the gas tank.
- Replace the four T40 bolts that secure the gas tank.
- Run the vent lines for the gas tank.
- Reconnect the gas line by pulling the collar back and pushing back into place.
- Replace you seat.
Step 12
Replace the outer fairing:
- Reconnect the headlight connector.
- Place the outer fairing into place and secure with the center windshield bolt.
- Replace the windshield.
- Replace the three T27 torx bolts from the top of the fairing.
- Replace the four T27 torx bolts.
- There are two located on each side of the fairing.
- The shorter bolt is lower and long bolt is towards the top of the fairing.
- Remove the fender cover over the front fender.
