  • T25 Torx driver

Step 1

Remove all components and ensure that you received all the parts needed for the install:

  • 6x9 Horn speakers
  • Speaker grilles
  • Speaker mounting baskets
  • Speaker mounting ring
  • Wiring for left and right speakers

Step 2

Preparing the bag lids for cutting:

  • Cover the front 2/3rds of the top of the bag lid with painters tape.
  • Be sure to cover the top and sides of the bag lid.
  • Grab the cut template from the box and fit the template to the top of the bag.
    • The templates are side specific.
    • The templates should fit tightly along the front of the bag and sit all the way down to the lip on the bag lid.
  • Once you are happy with the fitment you can use some more tape to secure the template.
  • Finally secure the template to the bag lid with screws through the two holes in the center of the template.

Repeat the process for the other bag lid.

Step 3

Cutting the bag lids:

  • Use a 1/8th inch drill bit to make pilot holes.
    • The pilot holes will be placed in the rounded holes in the template.
    • We recommend drilling towards the inside of the template.
  • Use a 5/16th inch drill to enlarge the pilot holes.
  • Use the cutting tool of your choice to cut from hole to hole on the template.
    • Do not cut through the template material just yet.
  • We recommend cutting tight to the inside of the template. This will leave you extra material if you need to remove more for proper fitment.
  • Once you have cut the lines out you can cut the template material between to finish the cut.
  • Remove the tape holding down just the template. Leave the tape in place that is on top of the front 3/4th of the bag lid.
  • Clean out the plastic trimmings from inside the bag.

Repeat the process for the other bag lid.

Step 4

  • Grab the speaker grille from the box and test fit to the outside of the bag lid.
  • If the speaker grille is not sitting flush to the bag lid, check for areas that may need trimmed, sanded or both.
  • Continue making fine adjustments until the speaker grille fits just right.
  • Once you are happy with the fitment, you can remove all of the painters tape.
Repeat the process for the other bag lid.

Step 5

Mounting the speaker grille and brace:

  • You will need four of the provided machine screws to mount the grille to the brace.
  • Mount the grille on the outside of the bag lid and the brace on the inside.
  • Use the machine screws to attach the inner brace to the speaker grille, we recommend starting them by hand to ensure that all four are lined up before tightening them down.

Repeat the process for the other bag lid.

Step 6

Installing the 6x9 horn speakers:

  • Place the 6x9 speaker on the inner brace and line up the four mounting holes.
  • Secure the speaker with the provided phillips head screws.
  • You can complete this step without removing the bag lid hold down but you can also remove it if you need more space to access the screws toward the rear.

Repeat the process for the other bag lid.

Step 7

Routing the wiring for the speakers to the inside of the saddle bags:

  • If you have not already done so, remove your saddlebags from the motorcycle.
  • In the kit you will find two speaker wire protectors (Silver plates and hardware)
  • Find a suitable mounting location and mark the three hole locations with a marker.
  • Drill on the three marks with a 5/64th inch or smaller drill bit.
  • In the middle of the three holes drill a 3/8th inch hole for the speaker wire.
  • Place the speaker wire with the bare wire through the 3/8th inch hole to the inside of the saddlebag.
  • Leave enough wire inside the bag to be able to both mount it out of the way and enough to reach the speaker.
  • Place the wire protector over the speaker wire and secure with the three small phillips head screws. These only need to be hand tight, so no need to use a power tool.

Repeat the same process for the other saddlebag.

Step 8

Connecting the speaker wires and crossover:

  • Use the provided crossover, connect the 1/4 inch and 1/8th inch spade connector to the 1/4 inch and 1/8th inch prongs on the 6x9 speaker.
  • Using the bare wire side of the crossover and rear speaker wires, twist the red wires together and twist the black wires together.
    • Insert the red wires into the red push terminal.
    • Insert the black wires into the black push terminal.
  • Mount the crossover to the speaker with the provided velcro.

Repeat the same process for the other saddlebag.

Re-install the saddlebags onto the motorcycle:

  • Choose a path to route the speaker wire from the bag lids to get them under the seat.
  • This path may vary depending on your motorcycle or personal preference.
  • Mount the saddlebags back onto your motorcycle. Secure with the locking pins.
  • Connect the Left (Clutch side) to the harness with Green and White wires
  • Connect the Right (Brake side) to the harness with Red and Black wires.
