Just now finally installed my systsem. Too me 3 weeks to get it all to go together. The Sony XAV-AV7000 is great and has been great product, I would recommend a not that no amp can be installed on top of the sony since it is already so tall. You cant get outer fairing back on with an amp attached above Sony. The Metra Inner Fairing was so far off on many bolt holes nothing wanted to line up. Finally forced it into place, but hope I never have to take off the outer fairing or I bet it will never go back on.

Other reviewers expressed concerns about challenges with parts lining up. This was my experience as well. Of the 7 bolts/screws that hold the inner and outer fairings together, only the top three and middle two could I get on. The lower 2 embossments that have the threads are a full 1/4” higher than where they should be. I will drill holes in the bracket higher than original then it will be fine.

Looks and functionality I give it a 10/10. Installation/fitment on my 06 street glide I give it a 6/10. Kit should include new brackets to go to the speakers seeing factory ones end up being too short. Fairing skirt and switch cover don’t fit right. After a few modifications I was able to get everything to work out in the end and it looks great!!!

I will start by saying I like the product. That’s why I gave more than just one star.\nBefore beginning the install we received a email that we would have to wait for an updated harness for the handle bar controls did not work with the one they had provided. They fixed that. Great.\nWe had to request the install instructions multiple times, only to be sent a YouTube link. They do not have written instructions. Fine.\nLastly on install - you will need to jimmy rig/alter things to fit correctly. \nJust be aware that it’s not as easy as advertised.
