    Step 2

If your motorcycle has the factory Boom Audio system or is a CVO do not go any further without reading the steps below:

To locate your BIN code in your factory GT radio do the following:

    1. Power on your bike to accessory power
    2. When the "Warning" screen appears on your head unit you're going to cover the mute and power button (lower right hand corner of the screen) with your thumb until the service menu appears - it'll take 5 seconds or so.
    3. When the service menu appears, you're going to select: Audio --> EQ --> then select the "i" icon for information.
    4. At this point you'll see something on the screen such as: Current EQ version: 17_OFF.bin Load new EQ?

For this example, you'd load your BIN number as 017 into the Diamond Audio radio following the instructions below.

Before proceeding to the next step below, make sure to hit "No" on the screen.

To locate your BIN code in your factory GTS radio do the following:

    1. Hold your finger on the power/mute button while turning on ignition
    2. Hold the power/mute button until the head unit powers up into the service menu - it'll take about 10 seconds.
    3. When the service menu appears, release your finger
    4. Press Audio
    5. Press EQ
    6. Press the "i" button on the right hand side of the screen
    7. Then, your current BIN number will be displayed. It will say something like: Current EQ version: 178_OFF.bin. Load new EQ?

For this example, you'd load your BIN number as 178 into the Diamond Audio radio following the instructions below.

Before proceeding to the next step below, make sure to hit "No" on the screen.

Now, when you have your new Diamond MSHD14 plugged into the bike and powered up, do the following:

    1. Go to the main screen
    2. Select "Motorcycle Info" icon
    3. Press the Gear/Settings icon (also known as Setup)
    4. Press "Vehicle Settings"
    5. Press "Amp Settings"
    6. Press "Audio System"
    7. This is the step you'll enter your BIN number found above. Tap each number the number of times for each number. So, if you wanted the code 178, you'd tap the first box 1 time, the second box 7 times and the third box 8 times. Then, hit okay.
    8. Then it will ask you to confirm your selection and then select yes.

    Removing the factory radio:

    • Remove the two T25 torx bit bolts that secure the metal support bracket located on top of the radio.
    • Disconnect all connections from the back of the factory radio.
      • Depress the tabs to release the connections
    • Using a 3/16 inch hex bit, remove the four bolts that secure the factory radio.
    • Set these to the side as they will be reused.
    • Lift the radio up and towards the front of the bike to remove.

    Step 3

Installing the MSHDHU14 into your Road Glide:

    • Place the radio into the factory location and loosely place the four 3/16 inch bolts
    • Install the radio harness that came with you radio to the main factory plug.
      • Line up the connector and swivel the rocker until it locks.

    • Connect the factory AM/FM antenna to the back of the radio.
    • Install the provided microphone is you would like.
      • Insert into the microphone port. We suggest routing the microphone up to the top of the inner fairing so that it can be mounted on the backside of the windshield. (Behind the windshield towards the rider)
    • Install the Sirius XM tuner, if selected at checkout
    • Install the Sirius XM tuner into the Sirius XM connector on the back of the radio.
    • Install the supplied antenna to the tuner and mount the antenna.

    Step 4

Testing the function of your MSHDHU14 radio:

    • Turn the ignition switch to accessory power
    • Turn the AM/FM tuner on and find a local radio station
    • Check the handlebar controls
    • If you selected to add or maintain Sirius XM, you will need to contact Sirius XM to activate or transfer your existing service plan to the new tuner ID.

    Step 5

    Replacing the outer fairing:

    • Replace the two T25 torx bolts that secure the black support bracket that sits on top of the radio.
      • The curve in the piece should face up towards the top of the fairing.
    • Replace the outer fairing.
      • We recommend using one of the windshield bolts to temporarily hold the outer fairing while you make the other connections.
